SMART Notebook 15.1

SMART has been busy over the summer creating new features for SMART Notebook and those have been released just in time for the new school year as version 15.1. This latest upgrade does require an active SMART Advantage license, which is SMART’s software maintenance program that gives you license for the upgrades. If your SMART Board is older than one year, you will need to purchase a SMART Advantage license (or renew your existing one) to be able to upgrade to this version.

Most of version 15.1 updates have to do with the Lesson Activity Builder, which has four new activities that are easy to create and highly interactive. They are Fill in the Blank, Match ‘Em Up!, Rank Order, and Shout it Out. SMART has also added image capabilities to the activities (with the exception of Fill in the Blank). Shout it Out is the first activity to be mobile enabled, meaning that students participate with any web-enabled device such as an iPad or Chromebook.

For documentation on all release notes including new features for each version and system requirements, visit: Smart Software Release Notes.

Here is a video demonstrating how to crate and use the Rank Order in the Lesson Activity Builder. More videos of the other additions will be coming soon.
